Always looking to experiment with what I can do with clay and what magic clay has in store for me I have created some lovely earrings and pendants. French ear wires are hand made as well as bales for the pendants. Earrings are also available on posts. Wire wrapped pendants are designed uniquely for each pendant. Pendants are on a 20 inch, 1.5mm waxed cord , adjustable to 18 inches, with a lobster claw clasp. Each piece is individually cut and glazed so variations make each earring and pendant one of a kind.
Pendants
Each pendant is individually cut from a slab of thin slab of clay that has been pre-textured or stamped after being cut. Each piece is dried, bisque fired and then individually glazed with glazes I have mixed and tested myself. This process makes each individual piece a one of a kind work of art and therefore, may have minor imperfections or irregularities which enhance its uniqueness and artistic qualities. All bales are hand made from either silver coated copper wire or solid brass wire. Each pendant has 1.5mm waxed cord adjustable 18-20” with a lobster claw clasp or a hand made S-clasp. Pendants are shipped in a velvet pouch in eco-friendly packaging.
Earrings
Each earring is cut from a thin slab of white stoneware clay that has been textured, carefully cut , bisque fired and then carefully glazed with glazes I have mixed myself. Each glazed piece us then hung on a high fire metal rod carefully so that no two pieces touch during the glaze firing. Pairs are put together matching pieces as closely as possible . Handcrafted French wires are then attached to each earring and then mounted in a card.
